Target groups

EM EuroAsia has the target groups concerned by this specific project listed below. Before you apply, you have to identify the target group you belong to and support this by proof of your status.

Target group 1

Students at all levels with a minimum of 1 year previous university studies and academic staff enrolled in or employed by one of the 11 Partner Universities and being a national (holding a passport or any other kind of verified proof of identification) of either Laos, Cambodia, Viet Nam, Indonesia, Thailand, Myanmar, Mongolia or an EU-27 national.

Target group 3

Nationals from Myanmar, Mongolia, Indonesia, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand or Vietnam who are in “particularly vulnerable situations,” for studies on the Undergraduate, Masters or Doctorate levels. “Particularly vulnerable situation” is being defined as:

  • Having a refugee status or asylum beneficiaries (international or according to the national legislation of one of the European recipient countries)
  • Where it can be proved that they have been the object of unjustified expulsion from university on racial, ethnic, religious, political, gender or sexual inclination grounds
  • They belong to an indigenous population targeted by a specific national policy or IDPs
  • Stateless persons having no nationality or citizenship
  • Being a women is some ethnical areas where women have a specific vulnerable situation and needs extra support
  • Being an ethnical minority in some regions, ex. some regions in Myanmar are not recognized by the Myanmar government
  • Remote areas that are more frequently suffering from natural disasters
  • Recently repatriated refugees
  • Extra socially and economically disadvantaged groups
  • NOT registered/employed by any of the member universities
